Who are we?

Liz

Liz: I am a 22 23 24 year old blessed wife of a wonderful Godly husband and soon to be mama of one sweet boy, Elijah David. I am a qualified make up artist but am blessed to stay at home and keep the home fires burning and making food and raising our son. I love cooking new dishes, reading, going to the beach, watching the sunset, playing with our dog, spending time with the love of my life, shopping and being creative. I’m a bit of a crunchy-boho-hippy, so just deal with it. I love the Lord, my God and Saviour and am eternally grateful that He saved a wretched sinner like me.

I have a desire to glorify God by teaching other women how to be beautifully feminine in a modest and godly way. I hope to accomplish that in part with my blog.

Chris: This is my lovely manly man of a hunky husband, also known as the love of my life and my best friend! He is a quirky, fun-loving godly husband and amazing daddy-to-be disguised as web developer and sometimes moonlighting as a carpenter. He loves Jesus, movies, gaming, reading, fuzzy rodents (hamsters, mice and bunnies – actually all animals), music, and ME,oh and the little boy!

Elijah – he’s the cutest, funniest, burpiest baby! He loves to sleep, eat, look around, be hugged and cuddled, and he hiccups like a champ. He is also the most loved and cherished baby to ever be born.

What we believe:

We believe in the triune God of the Bible, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe that we are saved by grace and not by anything that we could do, since we are unable to do what is required for it – that which Jesus accomplished on the cross. Because of this grace we can be in a restored relationship with God, co-heirs with Jesus, in-dwelt with the Holy Spirit and desiring to do good works so that God’s kindgom can be extended on the earth until the return of Jesus. (Ephesians 2:8, 1 Peter 3:18, 1 Peter 1:3, John 1:12, Ephesians 4:12)

We believe the Word of God is the highest authority and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. (2 Tim 3:16)

We believe that salvation through Jesus’s death and resurrection is the only way to salvation. (John 14:6)

We believe that man and woman were created in God’s image and likeness. (Gen 1:27)

We believe that the closest example to Christ’s love for us, is godly marriage, between a husband and wife. (Eph 5:22-33)

We believe that the husband is to love his wife as Christ loved the church, even giving up his life for her. (Eph 5:25-33)

We believe that the wife is to submit to the husband in everything just as the church submits to Christ. This does not mean she is his doormat, but that she knows he has her best interests at heart, and is the God-appointed head of the home. (Eph 5:22-24)

We believe that we are to be witnesses to the world of God’s grace, mercy and salvation, and in our daily lives we are to reflect Him so that all may come to know Him. (1 Peter 2:12)

We believe that our bodies are holy temples and therefore we are to look after them and not soil them with ungodly practices and bad habits. (1 Cor 6:19-20)

We believe that the husband’s role is to provide, protect and lead the family. (Eph 5:25-33)

We believe the wife’s role is to be a helper and companion to her husband, and to be a homemaker and raise her children in the ways of the Lord. (Gen 2:18; Titus 2:3-4)

We believe that children are a gift from God but that they belong to Him and not to us. (Psalm 127:3-5

We believe that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him and follow His way. (Rom 8:28)

We believe that baptism is an outward sign of an inward change and conversion to follow the Lord, therefore we believe in the baptism of believers and not that of infants. (Rom 6:3-5; Matt 28:19)

      Hey there,

Can’t remember if I’ve asked this before but I’ve added you to my blogroll http://markpenrith.wordpress.com/my-watchlist/ (although it’s a bit more complex than that). Any chance you could check out and give me some input regarding how I’ve pegged you?

      In Christ,

      Mark

Wow! I was stunned when I ‘stumbled’ on this site, didnt know there were believers out there so strong in faith, spreading the word in this manner…I was doing my weekly online update on my pregnancy @ 34 weeks, this is our 2nd baby…and I saw this site giving the info and talking about the Lord. Am s thrilled, we are strong believers in Jesus Christ and would love to share our faith too. Thanks for this, I think its outstanding! Good work!!!
